Nick just finished doing a live video for church this morning. Here’s the behind the scenes shot. The tissues were cuz I sobbed THROUGHOUT. Nick and I talked a lot yesterday about where God is during all of this craziness. And it felt REALLY, REALLY GOOD to sing this morning about how God is here with us now. One of the songs “Starlight” says “You’re not far away, you come in close” and then “There’s no space between you and I.” With all the social distancing happening it’s easy to feel like God and the universe are also distant, standing back just watching this all unfold. This morning was a good reminder that God is here with us, no space between us, pressed together, skin to skin, breathing us in as we breathe them in. Jesus said, “Father, just as you are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me” in John 17:21. It was Jesus’ prayer that we be one. And today I’m feeling it. ❤️
